Bifocals

There are two prescriptions with a line in between to divide two different prescriptions to see clear at distance and near. The top portion is prescribed for distance and the bottom for near.

Tri-Focals

This lens design have three prescriptions with lines in between to divide three different prescriptions: top portion is for distance, middle portion is for intermediate viewing computer screens/cell phones, and bottom portion is for near.

Progressive

This lens design is the most cosmetically appealing for those who need more than one prescription to see clearly at all distances without the lines. These lenses provide natural, smooth progression for distance and near vision, without an image jump.

Computer Glasses

These lenses are for those who spend long hours on the computer. This lens design is similar to a progressive, with two prescriptions: a large portion at the top for clear vision on the computer screen and blended bottom portion for near work around the keyboard area.

CR-39 Plastic

These lenses are the most common lens materials. They are lighter and more resistant than glass. These lenses are not scratch resistant and do not protect eyes from UV.

Polycarbonate

These are 20% thinner than CR-39 plastic lenses, light-weight, impact resistance, scratch resistance, and have UV coating. These are the safest lens materials available on the market for children under the age of 18. They also offer maximum protection for sports, safety glasses, and those with an impaired eye.

High-Index

These lenses are thinner and lighter than CR-39 plastic and polycarbonate lenses, and offer the best quality vision. They are customized for higher prescriptions and come with scratch resistance and UV protections. The higher the index, the thinner the lenses: 1.56, 1.60, 1.67, and 1.74.

Transitions Signature

These lenses get dark in direct UV sunlight and turns back to clear indoors within a few seconds.

Transitions Xtra-Active

These lenses are always active for extra protection. They have a 50% gray or brown tint behind the windshield of a car, and become darker in direct visible lighting.

Polarized

These lenses eliminate 100% UVA and UVB rays. This is the best type of lenses for sunglasses because they block blinding reflected glare on all surfaces. Polarized lenses allow you to see details that you normally would miss, and you do not have to squint.

Anti-Reflective Coating (AR)

This is a coating on the lenses to reduce glare and reflection, to provide sharper and clearer vision. Lenses with anti-reflective coating are more resistant to glare, scratch, smudge, fingerprint, dust, water, and UV rays. The lenses reduce glare for safer nighttime driving, causes few headaches and less eye fatigue, and are cosmetically appealing so people see your eyes and not your glasses.

Tint

Lenses treated with tint can reduce the amount of light entering the eye and can improve contrast. Tints can be solid, or gradient, and can vary in darkness level.

Frame Recommendations

We have many years of experience to recommend the right size, shape, and color for your look and your current prescription for all age groups.

Repairs and Adjustments

We offer repairs and adjustments, such as replacing screws, nose pads, nylon cords for half rim frames, bending frames back to its normal shape, and adjusting frames to fit your face, on the bridge or your nose, and behind the ears.

We can add a tint or darken lenses to full sunglasses. We can tint a variety of colors, such as gray, brown, pink, blue, yellow, or we can match most colors.
